New Delhi: On January 9, in a meeting held at CGO Compex in New Delhi, National Minority Commission unanimously expresses gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and described the Constitution (124th Amendment) bill as historic which will go a long way in benefiting the economically weaker sections of the minorities as well.
When Ten News asked Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi, Chairman National Minority Commission about the “upper caste 10 reservation” that the NDA government came up with the new bill to impress upper caste voters as in recent assembly the ruling party faced a huge loss considering the shift of upper caste voters to NOTA and other parties, the chairman said we should see this as a strong decision from the government, don’t link this to elections, economically weaker upper caste will easily uplift after this bill.
The Constitution (124th Amendment) Bill, 2019 cleared by the Union Government and passed by both the houses of Parliament, is an important and historic bill which seeks to provide 10 percent reservation in jobs and educational institutions to the economically weaker sections.
