2 dead in stampede as people pay last respects to Karunanidhi

At least two persons died and 40 were injured after a stampede took place at Chennai’s Rajaji Hall on Wednesday where DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s mortal remains were kept. The injured were admitted to Rajiv Gandhi government hospital. Over one lakh people were waiting outside the Rajaji Hall to get a glimpse of the five-time Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
