47th IHGF Delhi Fair Spring 2019 to begin at Expo Mart from February 18th

India Expo Mart is all set to welcome overseas buyers in the 47th edition of IHGF-Delhi Fair Spring 2019. This five days long fair will begin on 18th February. In the fair, there will be overseas buyers from 110 countries as well as domestic volume retail buyer.

 

The five days long fair will showcase the home lifestyle, fashion, and textiles category product by 3200 Indian Handicraft exporters from all across the country. There will be 2000 products and more than 300 trends specific design development across 14 product categories. The exhibition is spread in an area of 1, 90,000 sq meters informed O P Prahladka.

Briefing about the fair Rakesh Kumar Executive Director elaborated that “the uniqueness of the products showcased in this fair will continue to be the domination of hand crafted and hand made products where machines are used only for finishing purpose.” The handicraft is the only sector after farming which enrols a very deprived class of people.” He also introduced the Rajesh Jain as the new president of EPCH and said he is the youngest President Fair Committee, EPCH ever in the history EPCH.

While interacting with media the newly appointed President Fair Committee, EPCH Rajesh Jain said: “As I am so I won’t work with full enthusiasm and will try to double the income of our craftsman .” He also added that the trade war between China and USA will benefit India as the USA has imposed sanction and taxes over China after which buyers have started shifting to India which we definitely give a hype a 10 to 15 % in our trade.”

He also shared that this year the Fair was expecting a trade of around 4 thousand crores as there were lot many new stores entering the market.
