Incumbent Chairman and CEO of Noida Authority has allocated a budget of Rs. 651 crore for the repair, maintenance and construction of roads, drains, streetlights and community centres in the city.

The step has been taken after Noida Authority has been regularly receiving large number of complaints pertaining to municipal issues and taking note of the inconvenience cause due to conditions of roads and drains in the city during monsoons.

Chief Project Engineer of Noida HS Yadav told media that in-principal approval for the repair and maintenance has been granted by the NA Chairman.

Keeping up with the Pot-hole free motto of UP government the authority will also take over the resurfacing of roads where the need for the same has been suggested by the work circle project engineers. As per estimates 308 crore will be spent on repairing of roads that are older than 4 years.

Noida authority has also planned that street lights across the city will also be repaired and for energy efficient operations the older bulbs will be replaced by LED lights, which will cost around 105 crore. Including street light expenditures and other electrification work, Noida Authority will spend a total amount of 189 crore.

In complete budget a total number of 472 works will be completed in the city.
