An 8-year-old girl was abducted in a car and raped, parents allege, near Gurdwara Banglasahib in New Delhi.
“We were sleeping on the roadside during the intervening night of July 7 and 8. I was woken up by my daughter’s cries. She was being taken in a car. I tried to follow the car but they drove away,” says Sunil Patel, victims father.
“I immediately called police but they arrived after 20 – 30 minutes. By that time my daughter had walked back to us while crying. We immediately took her to hospital but we are yet to receive the medical reports,” he said.
While taking to Ten News, SHO Police Station Connaught Place said, “We have taken cognizance regarding this matter and a case has been lodged under FIR number 123/17.”
