AKTU encourages entrepreneurship and motivates students to become part of India’s growth story : Dr. Vineet Kansal

Dr. Vineet Kansal, Dean Under Graduate Studies and Entrepreneurship was in Greater Noida to take part in Dr. Kalam Startup Parikrama being organized at ITS Engineering College. Ten News spoke to him about entrepreneurship and engineering, the growing startup culture, significance of education for becoming an entrepreneur among other things.

Dr. Vineet spoke on length about various facades of entrepreneurship and how AKTU is leaving no stone unturned to encourage, motivate and support such endeavors among students of the university.

He said, “Taking the lead from Central Government’s initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and start-up’s, AKTU has been organizing seminars, skill development workshops and idea pitching session to help students follow their entrepreneurial dreams. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University is leaving no stone un-turned to promote innovations. Dr. Kalam Start-up Parikrama Sessions are the part of the same”.

Speaking about India’s rich history of Innovations he said, “We as a country have been a country of entrepreneurship. Being ruled by invaders for centuries might have pushed us back on that. However now the things are changing for good. The thought process has changed and the emphasis is to ignite sleeping thoughts and young minds of students. We have very bright students in our colleges. They will like to work on innovations and university is supporting them entirely”.

While many start-up founders lately have been proud of being college drop out’s the unmindful following of this trend has also witnessed many dreams being crushed. With A clarity of thought Dr. Vineet also explained the importance of getting the right education. He said, “Education is a very significant part of entrepreneurial journey. Jugaad turns into innovation with right education and knowledge. Ideas are shaped in to right model with right information”.

He also extended full-fledged university support for entrepreneurs and said, “Aspiring for good job in MNC’s or to follow one’s own dream is equally good. Students should believe in their own talent,should come forward with ideas and innovations and University is completely ready to support them. If our students can generate more employment and be a part of India’s growth story, it would be a matter of pride for us as well”.
