New Delhi: Release of 2016 Surgical Strike footages have triggered war of words between Congress and BJP. Both parties are playing blame game over the issue.

Attacking BJP for using army’s achievement for political benefits veteran Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that no government misuses army for political gain like BJP. “Never before, a Prime Minister used videos of surgical strike for political gains and against the well-being of the nation, like PM Modi does”.

He stated even BJP’s own Prime Minister Atal Bihar Bajpayee who carried out several such surgical strikes never used such tactics to garner some votes.

Referring to 1999 Kandahar incident and reminding BJP’s stand on terrorism, Tiwari said that has BJP forgotten Kandahar incident? When BJP government kneeled before the terrorists.

“In 2015, three wanted terrorists were flown to Kandahar, Afghanistan, in a chartered plane by the BJP government. This is the attitude of his party leaders towards terrorism and now they are giving lessons to Congress!,” Tiwari said.

“Congress doesn’t want to remember that black day, but they (BJP) force us to remind this hard truth,” he added.

Congress leader said that they are victim of terrorism. Congress lost his leader and India lost its Prime Minister in a terrorist attack. “BJP has a record of being soft on terrorism not Congress”, he asserted
