Ananda Dairy organizes ‘Kisan Gosthi Programme’ with 500 farmers

Bulandshahr, 13 April 2018: Ananda, a leading dairy and dairy products manufacturer, today organized ‘Kisan Gosthi Programme’ with more than 500 farmers. Held at the Ananda’s Milk Chilling Centre, this initiative was aimed at giving an easy access to an essential ‘Vikalp Scythe’ tool; further helping them to transform farming into a vibrant profession. The facilitation took place in the presence of Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and Sh. Satyadev Pachauri, Minister of Khadi and Village Industries (UP), who graced the occasion as chief guests along with Mr. Radhey Shyam Dixit, Chairman and Managing Director, Ananda Group.

With ‘Kisan Gosthi Programme’, Ananda aims to increase knowledge and awareness amongst the farmer community to enhance the production and productivity of their crops with the help of best available farming tools. The company is certain that this revolutionary harvesting machine will aid farmers to harvest approximately one acre of crop in a day. Moreover, this tool helps in harvesting variety of crops such as wheat, paddy, corn, green fodder and Bursum with great ease and will work as a sustainable technique for the environment.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Radhey Shyam Dixit, Chairman and Managing Director, Ananda Group said, “For farmers, Ananda has always been determined to offer a platform of economic independence and give them a new horizon of dreams, hope and life. We believe that farmers are the backbone of any civilization. Therefore, it is extremely important for us to empower them and be prepared to face any challenges that they may face, in future. We are optimistic that this tool will help them save harvesting time, in the traditional way and give them a chance to work with ease. Additionally, we are also educating the famers and ensuring a better life for them through veterinary health camps, sustainable livelihood, livestock fodder, etc.”

Set up in the year 1989 in Bulandshahr, Ananda has steadily grown in production capacity and today offers over 75 dairy and dairy-based products in its portfolio. Ananda, currently has over 5,000 villages and more than 2,00,000 dairy farmers from Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Punjab under its supply network. The current processing capacity of the company is 12,00,000 litres of milk a day, out of which they collect over an average of 8,00,000 litres of milk from dairy farmers. Ananda’s quality controlled milk-processing centers continue to grow in capacity to ensure a sustainable supply of pure and fresh products, with a significant proportion coming directly from farms, in a bid to empower the Indian dairy farmer.
