Arrests fail to persuade Khans to return

 Police on Tuesday made another arrest in the murder case in which two members of the Khan family in Dadri’s Badpura village were shot dead, and a third member, who was also shot at, managed to survive. TOI had recently reported on the plight of the Khan family, which had to leave their ancestral home fearing similar attacks.

Before this, another accused, Sunil, was arrested on July 18 while two other accused surrendered in court. However, the Khans are choosing to remain away from their homes as they allege they have yet to receive any assurances from the district administration for their safety.
