Arun Jailtely Delivers Inaugural Address at CII Annual Session 2017

Two day long CII Annual Session for the year 2017 started at Taj Palace Hotel today.
CII president Dr Naushad Forbes delivered the welcome address. Speaking at the occasion he said, “India is on a much better place today to take the lead role on the world level. We have the capability of adopting the best from the world and adding a Indian quotient to it”.
Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Defence Arun Jaitley delivered the inaugural address at the occasion.

He said, “Global trend is good for India and we can grow faster. Broader consensus of people is that present economic policies are more acceptable and welcoming.

A lot of very important descions were previously taken without consensus. Present government has changed that practice”.
He further added, “Profit is not a bad word but unfair enrichment is not good. Benefit of reduced taxation must aim at consumers and not at traders.

We are in final stage of fixing price per commodity.
Some tough steps are required to ensure that India increasingly becomes a tax compliant society”.
