Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha calls GST biggest economic reform of India
Aviation Minister Jayant Sinha today spoke on GST and called it the biggest economic reform of India.
He said, “As more people will start paying tax after GST, Indian economy will get much needed boost. The rates of GST for different products have been kept very viable and the basic idea is to make India a Tax compliant society.”
Addressing the apprehensions of infrastructural issues of GST Jayant Sinha said, “There is nothing to worry about in GST. Government will tolerate no harrasemnt of any trader or business persons in the name of GST. Also infrastructure is completely ready for implementation of GST. Indian people are very smart and they will rapidly adopt these changes”.
He also said that there might be changes in tax slab of products in future but as of now, the current tax slab is what all state governments agree upon and hence it is being adopted.
