#Ballabgarh Lynching: Accused Sent to 2-day Police Remand

Ballabgarh, July 9: The Faridabad District and Sessions Court on Sunday sent the main accused in the Ballabgarh lynching case to two days police remand. The next hearing in the case will be held on July 11. The accused, who had allegedly stabbed 16-year-old Junaid Khan on-board a Mathura-bound train few days back, was arrested by the Haryana Government Railway Police on Saturday from Dhule district in Maharashtra. He was shifted to Faridabad late night.

Earlier on Sunday, the father of the 16-year-old Junaid demanded death penalty for the accused, news agency ANI reported.

On Saturday, while speaking to the media, a GRP official said that the accused has confessed to the crime. “During the initial investigation, the accused has admitted having stabbed Junaid and his friends on the train,” the GRP official was quoted as saying.
