#BharatBandh at Greater Noida : Protesters defy constitution to demand upholding of constitutional rights!

Greater Noida : After a recent order in which Supreme Court has banned automatic arrest and registration of cases for alleged harassment of SCs and STs, the protests have erupted all over the country. Although Central government has already moved a petition in Supreme Court to have a relook of the case, the SC/ST community is unconvinced and have called for a #BharatBandh . They allege that this will dilute the law which aims to protect the marginalized. However Supreme Court is of the view that making investigation compulsory before an arrest is important to check misuse of the Prevention of Atrocities against SC/ST Act.
Today the dalit community had called Bharat Band against what they called the dilution of act. Large number of people from the community marched towards the district collector’s office carrying flags and play cards in there hand and rising the slogan of “Jai bhim” against the decision of Supreme Court of banning automatic arrest and registration of cases for alleged harassment of SCs and STs. The irony of using Ambedkar’s name for to break norms mentioned in constitution made by himself was lost on the protesters.
During this protest roads got blocked and commuters faced problems.
When the crowd reached the district collector office members of district court and officers Fojdari Bar Association were already present there.
During the protest advocates raised very proactive slogans against the BJP government by specifically targeting PM Modi and CM Yogi. They said they will never tolerate any kind of tempering with the constitution that has been drafted by Baba Saheb Ambedkar for the upliftment of the dalit community. They said that court have to take its decision back otherwise their protest may get aggressive.
