On sensing danger BJP leader had asked to speed away car, Criminals chased and opened fire!

BJP Leader and former Village Headman Shiv Kumar was today shot dead by unknown assailants while he was travelling through Bisrakh region of Greater Noida.

As per eyewitness account some unidentified criminals on two bikes attempted to stop his vehicle near Tikri roundabout. Sensing danger, he directed his driver to speed away the car. The bike borne assailants followed the vehicle and opened fire. The driver lost control and vehicle collided with the divider.

BJP leader Shiv Kumar Yadav along with his two gunners and driver received bullet injuries. The wounded victims were transferred to hospital in which Shiv Kumar and one guard succumbed to their injuries.

Another guard and driver are said to be critical.

Police cordons of area, heavy deployment at check-posts, ADG reaches crime spot :

Soon after the ghastly incident police Teams reached the crime spot and started the investigation. All police stations of the region have been asked to erect check-points and screen all suspects.

ADG Meerut Prashant Kumar who was in district for another police event also reached the crime spot late evening.

Eyewitnesses are being probed for to get more information about bike borne assailants.
