New Delhi: Politicians in India have made routine in making bizarre and controversial statements. They at times eat their words and sometimes stand their ground.
BJP MLA, Surendra Singh from Uttar Pradesh, who earlier blamed the lack of parental discipline and the ‘use of cellphones by women is one of the rising incidence of rapes, ‘ have made a another controversial statement by stating
“Even Lord Ram cannot stop rape incidents”.
On Saturday, speaking at a function in Ballia, in Uttara Pradesh. The BJP MLA said, “I can say this with full confidence that even lord Ram will not be able to prevent such instances. This is natural pollution, which has not left anybody untouched.”
He further said, “It is people’s responsibility to treat others as their family, as their sisters. We can only control it through values, not the constitution.”
