Boy sodomised by a daily wage labourer in Greater Noida

A 19-year-old man in Surajpur area of Greater Noida has been arrested by the police after the allegation of sexually assaulting a five year old boy on Friday evening. Arrest was done after a police complaint was filed by the parents of the victim. The accused identified as Shoaib is a resident of Begampur village and a daily wage earner.

As per the information incident took place around 5PM on Friday when the boy went to play with the children in his neighborhood. At the same time Shoaib lured him of toffee and taking advantage of scenario Shoaib took him to an isolated place and allegedly sexually assaulted him. After half an hour of assault he somehow got free and narrated the whole incident to his family.

Station house officer Surajpur, Girish Kumar Kotiya, said, “The boy was badly injured. He was bleeding when he reached home and he explained the incident to his father, who is also a daily wage laborer about the assault. The boy was brought to the police station and we took him to a hospital for a medical examination. He was provided first-aid and an FIR was lodged.”

Kotiya said, later in the evening we sent a police party to arrest him around 9PM, a police team went to the village and arrested Shoaib. The accused, on seeing the police party, tried to flee, but the team chased and arrested him.
Police have registered a case under sections 377 (unnatural offences) and 323 (causing hurt) of the IPC besides levying the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. He had confessed his crime on being interrogated. On Saturday, he was produced in the court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
