68th Chartered Accounts day event organized by The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India became witness to utter chaos, scuffle and protest owing to gross mismanagement at the venue.

Meenakshi, a CA who had traveled all the way from Mumbai to participate in the CA day event, couldn’t manage to get an entry inside the venue. She said, “Its pretty disappointing to see that large number of CAs are being treated this way. We have been invited and that’s why we had come. It is no way to treat the professional fraternity when you are organizing a mega gala on the same name”.

Event the past president of ICAI was seen cornered at the gate, failing to gain an entry.

At a point of time protesters also climbed the gates and tried entering the venue. Some boys and girls even managed to get inside.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal also came at the gates trying to pacify the gathered crowd but failed to make any positive difference.

CAs blamed ICAI governing council for the fiasco. One protester said, “It is utterly shameful that highest council of CAs in India could’t manage to calculate the ratio of seating capacity and invited participants correct. How can they do such a blunder with numbers?”
