Children of farmers wary of becoming farmers themselves reveals All India Kisan Sanghrash Committee

New Delhi: All India Kisan Sangarsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) leader and MP Raju Shetti tabled Kisan Mukti Bill 2018 in Lok Sabha on Friday.
The bill was passed in Kisan Mukti Sansad held on November 20, 2017 and 21 political parties have extended their support.

The bill cites loan waiver of farmers and provide Minimum Support Price (MSP) as per Swaminathan Committee recommendation.
To witness this historical moment, school children and farmers from Haryana visited the Parliament and observe the government’s as well as opposition’s behaviour during the presentation of the bill.

Before visiting the Parliament women, children shared their view with Ten News.
Speaking over the bill, AIKSCC member Ashutosh said, ‘At a time when farmers committing suicide every hour in the country this bill will give them new life. Two major points of this are, waive loans of farmer and double MSP as per Swaminathan recommendation.’
Later, a farmer, associated with AIKSCC Haryana said, ¬¬’MSP is not being given as per the law. There are sheer irregularities in the buying and purchasing mechanism. Government have to address these issue else farmers from the country will die a paid death.’

Meanwhile, children of farmer who came to visit parliament said, ‘Our parents live in a great pressure, they are already suffering from bad weather and now this MSP. If such situation continues, we will leave farming.’
