Committee to Examine Civic Amenities in Gautam Buddha Nagar holds meeting, invites suggestions from all stakeholders!

The panel constituted to examine civic amenities in authority areas of Gautam Buddha Nagar held its first meeting at Gautam Buddha University on Monday.

The panel is headed by Meerut Commissioner Dr. Prabhat Kumar and has Noida Authority ACEO R K Mishra as its convenor. Monday meeting was attended by senior officials of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority as well as by DM BN Singh.

The panel was constituted on 5th October by three ministers committee including Suresh Khanna, Satish Mahana and Suresh Rana after they received complaints regarding municipal issues in the district.

On Monday’s meeting it was decided that suggestions and objection will be sought by all stakeholders including residents of the district in this regard.

After the meeting Meerut Commissioner Dr. Prabhat Kumar tweeted, “Chaired 1st meeting of Committee 2 examine civic amenities in Authority areas in GB Nagar and make recommendations. Suggestions invited from all”.

He said that suggestions should b made in terms of legal & administrative framework, resource mobilization, Inclusiveness & enumeration of civic amenities. The last date to submit any suggestion or objection is 5th November, while a notification for the same will be released on October 25. The suggestions will be invited through mail or letters.

The structural functions of the proposed body were also discussed during Monday’s meeting.

In September, Gautam Buddha Nagar district magistrate BN Singh has also written a strong worded letter to Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna highlighting the inefficiency of development authority to deal with municipal issues. He had recommended formation of an independent municipal body similar to NDMC.
