Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association has written a strong worded letter to HRD Minister Prakah Javedkar seeking his immediate attention towards safety of school children.

The letter issued by PS Jain, President CONRWA lays special emphasis on installing functional CCTC cameras in classes, libraries, corridors and canteen areas of schools as well as to ensure its regular monitoring. The association has also demanded that a parents management committee must be formed in all schools which shall also have representatives from district administration and law authorities.

Taking cognizance of Gurugram Incident, CONRWA has also demanded that all teaching and no-teaching staff must be properly vetted and verification documents must also be submitted with district administration. Also seeking minister’s attention towards pathetic condition of many school buses, the organization has also demanded that schools must do away with private bus operators and should deploy own buses which must follow all guidelines of CBSE.

Stop Commercialization, Spread Awareness among Children

CONRWA has also demanded that excessive commercialization of schools must be stopped as it encourages access of unauthorized persons into school premises.

CONRWA President PS Jain

CONRWA president PS Jain says, “Most schools make it mandatory to purchase stationary, uniforms and other school related stuff from designated shops which are situated in school itself. This not only creates a monopoly market but also becomes unsafe for students as many strangers get entry into schools on accounting of visiting these shops. Such practice must be stopped immediately”.

The association has also demanded that students must be made more aware about good and bad stuff. There must be regular awareness campaigns in school where students are trained to identify any wrong element or conduct.
