Entrepreneur Shalu Jain, Founder and Director of Tia Jewels hosted the first edition of the spectacular “Iconic Awards 2017” event at The Umrao, NH-8 on 16th December, 2017.
17 icons from diverse fields were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award while 50 women achievers were felicitated with the coveted “Iconic Award 2017” at a glittering awards ceremony. Among the distinguished personalities who graced the event were Chief Guest Shahnaz Husain, MP Amar Singh, Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty and Tarot Queen Seema Midha.
Notable among those honoured at the event were renowned microsurgeon Dr Anuj, Poonam Saini, Bhawna, journalists Sushil Vakil, Bipin Sharma, Neetu Singhal, Sunita Vakil and Neha Kala; Manya Aman, Dr Shilpi Singh, Minty Chhabraa, Dr Anjana Bakshi, Shelkka Sharma, Dr Varun Katyal to name a few.
Shahnaz Husain, the Chief Guest of the event got a standing ovation when the anchor of the show Kanya Krishnani conveyed how she had done the entire country proud by becoming a Subject at the world’s premiere Harvard Business School. A dazzling fashion show was presented by the Awardees ensued by a scintillating Dance Performance by leading Dance troupe, Dance Smith. Kanya Krishnani as the anchor and Preeti Oberoi Tanwar as the co-anchor of the show were simply brilliant. The Makeovers were done by House of Beauty-Sahil Malhotra, and the Event associates were DM Events. The Decor Partners were Ritika Sahni Girdhar from Pom Pom.
Speaking on the occasion, Shalu Jain said, “Hosting the first ever Iconic Awards event has been a dream come true experience for me. I truly feel overwhelmed with the euphoric response that the event has evoked. The key idea was to honour all those women achievers and senior personalities who have made a marked difference to the society with their tireless and committed contribution in their respective fields. It would be incomplete to not make a mention of the divine blessings of Guruji that have been bestowed on me because of whom I could successfully host such a mega stature event. Women achievers from different fields were honoured with the “Iconic Awards 2017” by Global Ambassador of Beauty and Wellness Shahnaz Husain and Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty. We were equally honoured with the gracious presence of seasoned politician and MP Amar Singh.”
