Criminals Arrested by Surajpur Police following exchange of fire

Two criminals were arrested by Surajpur police station area on 130 meter road, near Tilpata roundabout after exchange of fire between police and criminals. While two other criminals managed to escape from the spot.
Both the arrested criminals are identified as Vinod Kumar and Bobby, both residents of Bulandshaher. Police have found a country- made gun, six live cartridges and stolen jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakh from them. At the same time during the encounter a police personal also got injured who is been admitted who has been admitted to district hospital for treatment. By late night a police party were engaged in the search for the miscreants.
Crime Branch in-charge Sanjeev Balian told that on a tip of by police sources that some criminals were coming in a Mahindra Xylo car. As police suspected the and signaled them to stop them but they dint stopped the car and opened a fire on police in order to escape. Police chased them and after cross fire Vinod and his fellow Bobby got injured after that they were arrested . While Rashid and his accomplices abandoned the vehicle and managed to escape.
The arrested criminals are active members of the gang. The gang use to rob commuters in a pretext of giving lift in the car. They are also been jailed before several times.
