Danny McBride, the versatile actor, producer and screenplay writer, who is known for his stand-up comedy and amazing comic timing claims that he has never been angry in his life! Hard to believe when the actor has lent his voice to the most explosive (literally!) character of the highly awaited ‘The Angry Birds Movie’.
Bomb, who is one of the lead characters in the movie along with “Red” and “Chuck”, is known for exploding when he gets excited or can’t handle the anger within him. “Like Red and Chuck, Bomb is angry too,” McBride says. “He has an explosive personality and explodes when he gets angry. He wants to improve. He’s embarrassed that he can’t control his anger, and he wants to focus it. Bomb is actually a pretty laid-back, fun-loving guy, but any little thing can set him off. The thing about Bomb is that he is constantly full and on the verge of exploding and to get into that mind-set, I ate a lot of Burritos!”
And when asked on how he – he of the famously explosive characters – deals with anger? “I’ve never been angry in my life,” he says.
Based on one of the most successful games of the recent times – Angry Birds, the star cast of the movie includes Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses), Josh Gad (Pixels, Frozen), Danny McBride (Due Date, This is the End) and Maya Rudolph (Grown Ups, Bridesmaids). Distributed by Sony Pictures, The Angry Birds movie will release in India on May 27th in English, Hindi and Tamil. It will also be available in 3D.
