DELHI POLICE CRIME UPDATE – ACCUSED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ARRESTED AFTER 28 YEARS OF INCIDNET – 15/07/2014

The staff of Police Station Mayapuri, West District has arrested a Proclaimed Offender namely Kesho s/o Lt Sh Jagse R/o 131A ,Gali No 4, New Sanjay Amar Colony, Vishwas Nagar, New Delhi, age 52 years.

NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Kesho s/o Sh. Jagse R/o 131A, Gali No 4, New Sanjay Amar Colony, Vishwas Nagar , New Delhi, age 52 years.

INCIDENT

Smt. Surjeet Kaur w/o Sh. Achan Singh has reported that accused Kesho, Babu Lal, Kishore Shiv Lal Ram Avtar and their associates came to the shop of her son situated at Vishwash Nagar, Shahdra, Delhi and put it on fire. Due to which all things in the shop were burnt. She requested for legal action subsequently, a case FIR No. 462/86 u/s 147/148/427/436 IPC was registered at PS Farsh Bazar, East District Delhi and investigation was carried out. Accused were arrested and charge sheet was filed against the accused persons. Accused persons were granted bail but accused Kesho did not appear in court and jumped his bail. On this he was declared Proclaimed Offender by the court of Sh. Nivedita Anil Sharma, Ld. M.M. Karkarduma Courts, New Delhi on 09.12.1997.

TEAM & ARREST

Keeping in view a large number of Proclaimed Offenders a Team comprising HC Vikrant Singh No.347/W, Ct Bijender No 3230/W headed by Inspr. K P. Singh, ATO/ Maya Puri under the supervision of Sh. Samay Singh ACP/Tilak Nagar was constituted and the task was assigned to arrest the POs.

On 14.07.2014 a secret information was received by HC Vikrant Singh, No. 347/W that the accused Kesho s/o Sh Jagse proclaimed Offender will come at New Sanjay Amar Colony, New Delhi to meet his relatives. On this information, a team was sent to Amar Colony, New Delhi and trap was laid. Accused was arrested at the instance of informer. On sustained interrogation accused disclosed that he was involved in burning of the shop. After bail he left Delhi and started living at Vadodara, Gujarat to avoid the Trial and since then he was living there.

The staff involved in the arrest of PO is being suitably rewarded.
