Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia today attended a session on GST during a conclave in Delhi.
Speaking there he said, “I don’t agree with calling GST as Economic Independence. It is nothing like that and it’s a misrepresentation”.
He further said, “If there is increase in tax collection and more people happily start giving tax then only we can call GST a successful”.
He also appealed to accept it and said, “GST is a reality and people should accept it”.
He further added, “Medium scale businessman is going to face problem. It is because they usually purchase from traders who are not in tax net yet and in such case the purchasing businessman has to pay reverse tax. However I am expecting that tax collection of Delhi will increase now”.
