DESPERATE GANGSTER FROM MEWAT REGION WANTED IN CASES OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER OF POLICE PERSONNEL ARRESTED

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Umesh Barthwal and Kailash Singh Bisht has arrested Dilshad s/o Zafru, r/o Village Sudaka, District Mewat, Haryana, a wanted criminal in two heinous cases wherein Dilshad along with his associates had not only attempted crushing Police personnel under their pick up van but had also opened fire upon them in order to escape from apprehension. The Commissioner of Police, Delhi had declared a reward of Rs. 50,000/- upon the arrest of Dilshad, s/o Jafru vide Order no. 18819-919/C&T (AC-III)/PHQ, dated 13th June 2014.

 

This team of Special Cell, which has been relentlessly pursuing dangerous criminals from Mewat region and has over the past few months successfully apprehended three desperate and rewarded criminals from Mewat region, got specific information that Dilshad would be coming to Mathura railway station in the evening hours of 10th September 2014 to meet a contact. Acting upon this information, a trap was laid near the said railway station and Dilshad was arrested u/s. 41 (1) Cr PC at 1800 hrs. After arrest, he was brought to Delhi and has been produced before the concerned court after informing the Police Stations concerned of the arrest.

 

Apart from the crimes committed by Dilshad in other states, which are being verified, a brief of the major cases wherein he was wanted by Delhi Police are as under:-

 

  1. FIR No. 172/2014, dated 24/04/2014, U/ss. 186/353/307/332/34 IPC, PS New Friends Colony, South East District, Delhi

 

In the intervening night of April 23/24, 2014, accused Dilshad along with his 6 other associates entered Delhi on a Mahindra pickup van without a number plate to commit crimes. A PCR van, patrolling on Mathura Road towards Ashram side noticed this van and upon being suspicious, tried to stop by giving sirens. However, the pickup van sped away and took a sudden U-turn and further sped away towards Badarpur side. The PCR van continuously kept chasing them by giving signals and informing control room over wireless set. The pickup van driver dangerously took a turn towards Surya hotel side and again took U turn for Mathura road but there, seeing another PCR van, they again took wrong U-turn in same carriageway. The PCR van chasing this van tried to stop it but the pickup van driver rammed the PCR van badly damaging it In the meantime, Constable Ugarsain tried hanging on the front windscreen of the van but the pickup van driver again reversed his van and ran away towards Jamia Nagar, Delhi. In this incident, Constable Ugarsain got injured and the PCR van had also got damaged. In this case, 4 accused persons were subsequently arrested while accused Dilshad and one Abujar, s/o Hussain Khan, r/o Village Madalpur, Tehsil Ballabhgarh, District Faridabad were running absconding.

In the intervening night of April 23/24, 2014, when accused Dilshad alongwith his 6 other associates had ran towards Jamia Nagar side after injuring Constable Ugarsain and hitting their PCR Van, another PCR van parked at the red light of Kalindi Kunj road towards Noida, Delhi started checking suspect pickup vans. At about 12.03 am, they noticed the suspect van without a number plate and immediately, PCR I/C Van HC Gireesh and Ct Chetram tried to stop it. However, the driver of this suspect van attempted to ram their PCR van and also, fire was opened by its occupants. Immediately, HC Gireesh fired 5 rounds from his pistol and Ct Chetram fired 7 rounds from his MP-5 gun and they started chasing this pickup van. However, the van driver sped dangerously and took it towards Ismailpur Faridabad and disappeared. In this case also, accusedDilshad and one Abujar, s/o Hussain Khan, r/o Village Madalpur, Tehsil Ballabhgarh, District Faridabad were running absconding.
