New Delhi: Breaking the silence on the allegations of Ration Scam, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal once again took it upon himself and targeted LG for targeting government. He said that the elected government is being questioned about ration distribution despite all its efforts to improve the state of affairs even in the wake of such non-cooperation from the LG and his appointed officers, the good work is continued in Delhi.
"LG is behaving like a head master. Not even our teachers bothered us so much," Kejriwal said during the discussion on the "Outcome Report".
Kejriwal further added, "Even if an officer takes bribe in front of us today, I can not take action against him. We do not have anti-corruption branch, nor services department. We do not have the right to appoint or transfer anyone. We do not have the vigilance department. There is no power with the minister or the Chief Minister".
"People say that everything was fine when Sheila Dikshit was the chief minister but we we want to tell that Sheela Ji had complete rights. What we don’t have Therefore, we demand that all of our rights should be given back to us. Because the people of Delhi are suffering every day", added Kejriwal.
CM Kejriwal and Baijal previously have clashed on several issues in the past. The chief minister has accused the LG of creating hurdles in the functioning of the Aam Aadmi Party Government. Baijal had red-flagged a few provisions in Aam Aadmi Party governments so called ambitious programme for doorstep delivery of public services, before he finally cleared it in January after two months.
Although the situation between CM office and LG office was not much different during the tenure of last LG Najeeb Jung.
