EC should tally 25% of EMVs with VVPATS instead of 5%: AAP

While welcoming the decision of election commission to install VVPAT (Voter -verifiable paper audit trail) along with the EMV machines, AAP has said, that the decision will build confidence among people who had started to doubt the electoral process.

Following the installation of VVPATS, EC has decided to randomly check 5% of the EMVs and to tally their results with the EMVs to bring transparency.

However, AAP has demanded that instead of 5%, the EC should check 25% of VVPATS.
