Enough is Enough’ : Doctors and Non Teaching Staff Protest Against Santosh Medical College. (Ghaziabad)

The protesters allege that they have not been paid their salary by the management of the medical college for the last six months. Doctors and non teaching staff of the Santosh Medical College, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad, are demonstrating and protesting since October 10, 2017, over non-payment of their salary for the last six months. The protest has disrupted the normal college/hospital functioning. The doctors say they will not resume duty till their salary is cleared.

One of the agitators, Dr. Atish Anand, told Ten News, “We have not been paid six months’ salary. If we do not receive our salaries, we will not come to work and will continue to hold protest.”He said, “We are in severe distress and not able to pay for our daily needs. Day by day its becoming very difficult to take care of our families.”. He further said “We are not being supported by the management of Santosh Medical College and after several false promises the management is continuously stating that since demonetisation they don’t have money left however but only recently they have earned crores of money through MBBS, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing students.”

Dr Atish told Ten News that the protest will continue till the salaries are paid as they can not continue to work for free.
