Exempting Amrapali buyers from any further payment till completion, Minister appeals to end protest

Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna said, “Large numbers of Amrapali Buyers have been facing long delay due to various reasons. We acknowledge their concerns and UP Government has serious intent of resolving their issue”.
Around 40,000 Flats of Amrapali are pending in the region and buyers have been protesting from more than 12 days demanding justice.

The three minister delegation including Suresh Khanna, Satish Mahana and Suresh Rana on Wednesday met with representatives of Amraplai buyers and listened to their concerns.

After deliberating on the same Urban Development Minister today said, “Amrapali buyers are hereby exempted from making any further payments to the buyer till the completion. After completion is done by the builder, buyers can clear their dues just before registry”.

He further added, “We have acknowledged the deadlock and on builders concern, co-builders have been assigned which will collaborate with Amrapali to ensure that project is finished without any further delay”.

He also appealed to protesting buyers to end their strike and said, “All problems have been noted and we will make sure that people who have spent their hard earned money face no further problem”.

Minister also said that builders who are not responding will face strict action and police has been directed to register FIR against them as well.
