Fire burns renowned Bikkgane Biryani outlet at CP, none injured

New Delhi: Today at Central Park, New Delhi, the renowned restaurant named “Bikkgane Biryani” was completely burnt in fire, prima facie due to gas leak. Fortunatley, no person was injured in this mis-happening.

Number of the fire brigades were pressed into action and the fire was controlled after much effort.

The branch of the famous Biryani restaurant chain located at Connaught Place, New Delhi caught fire around 12 noon today.

Onlookers reported that soon after the fumes were seen, the fire enraged in huge way, making it difficult to be controlled immediately.

At the time of incident, the restaurant did not had customers and fortunately no one was trapped in fire.

The fire however raises questions over the saftey of different food outlets in the Connaught Place area which is considered the heart of the city.

Every evening and specially on weekends these outlets are brimming with crowds.

Few months back, an order by authorities also banned rooftop dinning at most restaurant owing to inadequate saktey measures.

Last year, at Hauz Khas area also many eateries were closed after the fire department refuse to provide NOC citing different reasons.
