Nowadays, online fraudsters are creating fake mobile and bank account balance checking applications and government websites carrying any fake logo of any big organization and banks, in order to receive each and every personal information of the consumer .

The criminals are taking advantage of the transition to digital payment by giving lucrative offers to some specific consumers.

Talking about the issue with Ten News, Cyber Expert, Anuj Aggrawal, said that, there are specific two ways to eradicate the problem totally.

First of all, Government should issue a notification to all the application stores, namely Google, Apple and Microsoft, concluding that, app stores must not include any fake application. This will directly rectify all the fake applications.

Secondly, authorities should also form a nodal agency to deal with all the issues. Either RBI should be framed as nodal agency or Bank organisations should become the nodal agency.

These two are specific solutions to all the fake applications issues, he added.

Further,  Rajiv Narayan Mishra, additional superintendent of police, UP-STF, told Ten News,  the best way to remain safe is that,  every consumer should log in into bank’s official for any transaction.  Identifying any fake application is very hard,  he added.
