(14/03/18) New Delhi: Hundreds of MCDs Workers and Government Officials held a protest strike against the alleged manhandling of its senior officials by the Deputy Chairman of Najafgarh Zone Suman Dagar. On Thursday, SP Singh, additional director of horticulture department in Najafgarh zone with hundreds of MCDs Workers and Government Officials Staged a Protest March at Pragati Maidan, Metro Station, New Delhi.
Complaint by Singh, alleged that they were beaten up by the councillor’s goons after they refused to follow her order.
Speaking to Ten News SP Singh Said, “There is shuffling going on in every zone based on different yardsticks. Staffs are being shuffled as per the requirement of each ward. In Najafgarh zone, there are only a few maalis to look after the parks. The councillor Suman Dagar had asked me not to shuffle any maalis from her ward. After I refused to follow the order, I was called to her office and after the meeting, I was beaten up by her goons,” alleged Singh.
However, Earlier Dagar denied the allegations made by Singh. She said that she had merely asked the official to follow the rules before shuffling the staffs. “The allegation made against me is completely untrue. I had only asked the official to consult”.
