Grant licence to #dance bars by March 15: SC to Maharashtra government

The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the Maharashtra government to grant licences to dance bars by
March 15. The apex court also rejected the condition that there should be live CCTV footage of dance
performances which should be given to area police.
The SC had on February 24 asked the Maharashtra government to respond to a plea on imposing of
“unreasonable” conditions for the grant of licences for dance performances in beer bars and restaurants
in the state.
