Greater Noida’s Wonder Girl Wins All India sub-juniour Badminton Championship

13 year old Samayra Panwar brought laurels to Greater Noida and surprised everyone by clinching the lead title in All India Sub-Junior Badminton Championship held at Gopichand Academy Hyderabad.

Samayra a native resident of Ranjhan Village of Shamli District Uttar Pradesh is now living in Jaypee Greens society, Greater Noida. She is in 7th standard and enrolled in Genesis Global School. Her father Amit Panwar a business man and her mother Anjali Panwar a homemaker.

 

Samayra gripped racket first time three year back in her society court and remarkably just in a year she won a district level championship. There after she started taking coaching professionally and from then she never looked back.

Samyra’s father says “she has passion for badminton. She wakes up at 4 in the morning and after training herself for an hour she reaches Pullela Gopichand academy for her training session and there she spends 6 to 7 hours on court.”

Not only in sports but she is also good in academics. Math is her favorite subject and also has love for novels. Saina Nehwal is her favorite player but she also follows very keenly Carolina Marin.

She is willing to win gold for her country and for this she is working hard day and night. Samayra is currently placed at all India 6th rank but this win will take her to 1st or 2nd rank.
