New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. in association with Delhi Police today announced culmination of its Road Safety Summer Camp for school children in Delhi.
Engaging more than 1000 school children, the initiative helped in developing children as Safety Champs to inculcate road safety as a daily habit in all aspects from a pedestrian to a rider.
The camp aims to educate school children about road safety, with theoretical and practical materials in the form of games and quizzes to help make it a fun learning experience.
The culmination ceremony was concluded at Honda 2 Wheelers India Traffic Training Park situated at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in the presence of Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police Delhi, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd and other senior dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police Delhi said, “This Delhi Police summer camp is organized every year. We try our best to Organise this camp in best way so that school kids can learn traffic rules and road safety at a young age so that they grow out to be responsible citizens. We do this every year and try maximum efforts to impart as much traffic education as we can.”
During Summer Camp, Honda Mixed fun with road safety education
Fun educational activities like road safety games and quiz were conducted every day.
Students in the age group of 9 to 12 years got a chance to learn about two-wheelers and importance of riding gear in a fun way on specially imported 50cc CRF 50 motorcycles
Honda’s specially trained road safety instructors educated children about the do’s and don’ts while commuting in a school bus and cycling.
Safety champs participated in a ‘Best Road Safety Slogan’ competition.
Taking forward road safety to personal safety Delhi police taught self-defence to the participants.
