Huge potential for Industrial Growth in Yamuna Authority region says YEIDA OSD Shailendra Bhatia at NIU Global Summit
(11/10/2017) Greater Noida: Noida International University and Indian Institute of Materials Management jointly organized a two day Global Summit on Research in SCM Technologies “Driving Future Business”.
The summit witnessed presence of many national and International delegates as well as participants from University Grants Commission, Bharat Electronic Limited, BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, Samsung, LG., Accenture etc. took part in the two day event.
Industry relevant topics such as Strategic sourcing : lessons for the sourcing managers, Green supply chain management, legal aspects of supply chain, taxation in supply chain and many similar topics were discussed during the two day event.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority OSD Shailendra Bhatia was Chief Guest at Commencement ceremony of the summit. He spoke at length about different aspects of supply chain management and Yamuna Authority’s excellent leverage in this domain.
OSD Shailendra Bhatia said, “Industrial development has always been a priority of Yamuna Authority and we have marked about 3500 hectare of land in our area for Industrial Development by 2021 and another 6000 hectare of land for industrial purpose by 2031. Industrial growth in the region is being pursued rigorously and policies are being framed to eradicate any hurdles in industrial development”.
Elaborating about development of Jewar Airport and its significance for Industries coming up at YEIDA land clusters he said, “With beginning of Jewar Airport project, the supply chain management for industries of this region will become very comfortable. The transportation of raw materials or finished goods will become very convenient and both International and National trade from the region will get a major boost”.
Many papers were also presented during the two day event, which will also be published by the organizing team in form of conference proceedings.
