“I.T.S Dental College ‘Adopts Bilaspur Village’ in Greater Noida”

I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida today announced the adoption of second village in Delhi NCR region, BilaspurVillage at Greater Noida district of G.B Nagar. The campaign, which has been launched under Dept. Of Public Health Dentistry aims to support the village with core interventions in Oral Health Education and Dental treatment. I.T.S Dental College, Hospital & Research Centre has been involved in various community welfare programs in the past and this project is an attempt to build a progressive self-reliant rural community.
With the adoption of the village as the first step in this direction. I.T.S focuses to improve the quality of oral health that would positively affect the lives of people in the village. The village adoption program by I.T.S aims to educate and provide better health services.
This occasion was mark by the presence of Dr. Puneet Ahuja, Principal and Dr. Jayaprakash K. HOD. Dept. Of Public Health Dentistry, of I.T.S Dental College Greater Noida, along with other faculty of college, Gram Pradhan and people from Gram Panchyat of Bilaspur village .
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Puneet Ahuja Principal & Dr. Jayaprakash K. HOD. Public Health Dentistry I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida said, “We, at I.T.S, believe that organizations should focus not only on the economic well-being of the nation, but also upon its social fabric. I.T.S takes pride in being socially inclined and focuses on sustained and effective Oral Health projects. In line with this thought process, where we adopt a village to bring about a big transformation in the lives of the people living here. The project involves engagement with people to enhance their health education as well as providing oral care facilities and supporting the environment in the village.
The first village we adopted was Ghori Bachheda and today is a proud day for us as we are expanding this project further with the 2nd phase adoption and focusing our energies in Greater Noida.
With the adoption of Bilaspur, we plan to provide the best of dental facilities to the people of Bilaspur village. As a part of the immediate steps at the village, I.T.S seeks to implement a wide range of activities to improve the quality of health for all people.
In view of the lack of healthcare facilities available in the village, I.T.S Dental College has already established a ‘Satellite Clinic’ which was serve as a primary health centre providing comprehensive oral check-ups to all sections of the village community. This centre will also extend its services to the cluster villages around Bilaspur.
Through this project we aim to adopt villages in different parts of the Greater Noida and contribute to the well-being of the community as well help them become self-sustainable.
I.T.S- The Education Group also plans to interact with the village community closely so that with their active participation, we at I.T.S can promote oral health care and help prevent oral diseases. The activities of the centre will be monitored by I.T.S Dental College & Hospital at Knowledge Park 3. All patients needing further specialized treatment or surgery will be provided free transport to this hospital.
