It was unanimously resolved by the Association that the Officers of Indian Administrative Service to adopt a family of the martyred soldiers of the defence forces and the CAPF and the state associations have been asked to ensure immediate necessary action in this regard. We are requesting the state governments to issue necessary instructions in this regard to all concerned so that this arrangement gets institutionalised at the earliest, told Sanjay Bhoosreddy Honorary Secretary of Indian Civil and Administrative Service (Central) Association to Ten News in a press statement.
He further stated that,It would be in national interest that the Civil Servants proactively contribute in this endeavour. The officers of the Indian Administrative Services spread across the country and work on challenging assignments related to public services. This includes Sub Divisional Magistrates, Additional District Magistrates and District Magistrates, then they serve in the State as well as Union Government on key policy making senior positions. The influence on the local administrative machinery wielded by them can be positively channelized to support and help the families of the martyred soldier in an effective and sustained manner.
