ICC organizes North-East Business Summit in New Delhi

New Delhi: On January 17, Indian Chamber of Commerce organized “North East Business Summit” at Hotel Le Meridian in New Delhi.

The business event began with playing of National Anthem, after that chairman of Indian Chamber of Commerce M K Saharia addresses the delegates with a welcome note.

Speaking at the summit, Saharia said, “We work very cloely with Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and have always very active support and guidance from ministry of DoNER.



I acknowledge again and thank Dr Inder Jit Singh (IAS, Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of DoNer) to be here in the event.”

“I find here in the summit both of the new faces who have not attended the summit before”, Saharia added.

Dr Inderjit Singh addressing the event said,”Little could I know about North-East problems, issues and vision, I think it is a good forum for me to be here to share some of my thoughts with you and learn more with all of you towards much more experience. The importance of working with the people of North-East or for the North-eastern states comprises of 8 states as we all know. The Government of India has formed a separate ministry for the development of North-eastern states to focus on the development agenda”.

The event was attended by Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and North-East filmmaker Rima Das, the North-East filmmaker was awarded by the governor for outstanding contribution to films.

Rima Das is known for the her films including “Village Rockstar” which has won several international awards worldwide.
