“Inauguration of I.T.S Centre for Advanced Imaging & Diagnostics

The Inauguration of “I.T.S Centre for Advanced Imaging & Diagnostics” was held on Thursday, 25th February 2016 at Vidya hall of I.T.S Dental College, Hospital and Research Centre, Greater Noida. CBCT is a 3 D imaging modality which allows to collect valuable diagnostic information for a range of dental and maxillofacial applications ,including Endodontics, Implantology, Orthognathics, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. It has been introduced for the first time in Noida and Greater Noida and its services will be beneficial in advanced diagnosis and treatment planning of patients. The nominal charges for this imaging modality will benefit post graduate students to pursue their research and case studies. This new imaging centre at I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida will serve as a boon for the economically weak patients. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Lt. Gen. Vinod Bhatia PVSM, AVSM,SM (Retd), As the former Director General, Military Operations, he was responsible for the largest evacuation in Uttarakhand in 2013 in which more than 46,000 persons were safely evacuated by the Indian Armed Forces. Also present were Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, Mr Sohil Chadha, Secretary, Mr. B.K Arora, Director PG Studies ,Dr.Anmol S Kalha, Principal, Dr. Puneet Ahuja, heads of dental and medical departments, senior faculty members and students . Hon. Vice Chairman, Mr. Sohil Chadha accorded a floral welcome to the Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. Vinod Bhatia. The program started with a welcome address by Principal Dr. Puneet Ahuja which was followed by the Directors address on the CBCT machine and he also introduced the Chief Guest to the audience. This was followed by a presentation on “ Future of imaging “ by Dr. Achint Garg, Head of Department, of Oral Medicine & Radiology. While addressing the audience, Secretary, I.T.S – The Education Group, Mr. B.K. Arora emphasized on the use of hi-tech infrastructure and the sacred doctor – patient relationship. Vice Chairman Mr. Sohil Chadha in his speech reiterated the commitment of I.T.S – The Education Group to the advancement of the college for which latest technology will be consistently provided for the benefit of the UG/PG students and patients. Chief Guest Lt. Gen. Vinod Bhatia, addressed the gathering and shared his wisdom and experience. He lauded the brilliant efforts of the college in providing State-Of-The Art infrastructure which is benefitting the patients of Gautam Budh Nagar and Delhi – NCR. This was followed by a formal inauguration of Cone Beam Computed Tomography machine(CBCT) by the Chief Guest Lt. Gen. Vinod Bhatia. The Chief Guest was felicitated by the Secretary with a memento. After the inaugural ceremony all dignitaries and faculty were invited for high tea.
