India-Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket Teams to play tri-series from May 4 in Dhaka

When fever of Indian Premier League (IPL) is at its peak, meanwhile, Indian Wheelchair Cricket team is going to Bangladesh to play a tri-series with Bangladesh.

The tournament will be held at Dhaka, Bangladesh between May, 4 to 8, 2018. They announced while addressing media in Thursday.

Announcing about the tri-series, General Secretary of the Wheelchair Cricket India Praddep Raj said, “Today, a team 15 best players is leaving for Bangladesh to play tri-series with Bangladesh wheelchair cricket team.”

He further said, “We have planned this tournament after the succession of 1st International Bilateral Wheel Chair Cricket Series between India-Bangladesh Wheelchair teams held in Delhi last year.”

“We are running this institutions with half decade and promoting wheelchair cricket in India but the irony is, we have getting no help neither from government nor BCCI, despite our countless approach,” He added.

Recently, Wheelchair Cricket India has conducted the National Wheelchair Cricket Tournament in Jan 2018, after that WCI has conducted the Inaugural Indian Wheelchair Cricket League between Feb 16 to 18 2018 at Gurgaon.

Later, captain of the Indian Wheelchair Cricket team, Somjeet Singh said, “We are very hopeful for this tournament and we are sure that we will win the series by 3-0.”
