Internationally awarded film, based on life of eunuch ‘Unfit’ screen in city today

New Delhi: Internationally awarded film, ‘Unfit’ based on life and struggle of transgender by well-know film director Roopesh Rai Sikand screened in the city today.
Unfit is story of eunuch, who born and bought up in Rajasthan and grew up in poisoned state of mind because of the unimagined and unexpected ill-treatment of his father as well as society.

To suppress this felling of ignorance and anger, he moved to the city of dreams Mumbai to become a successful dancer. He moved on towards success with tears of tremendous exploitation and harassment throughout his walk but finally achieved success.
In 30-minute long film, a Kolkata-based eunuch Babli Das acted in the film, which was shortlisted after the audition of more than thousand eunuchs.
Speaking to Ten News, director and writer of the film Roopesh Rai Sikand said, “It is story inspired by the true character and I have done a lot research before doing making unfit.”
He further said, “After the research, I came to know that the life of transgender is awful in the free country like India. Neither family nor the society accept them but humiliate and isolate them.”
