ITS (estd. 1995) is a premier educational institute in the NCR, which has made benchmarks in the field of technical education. Other than its highly rated academic excellence ITS is also known for its extremely popular technical and cultural extravaganza.

To pursue, encourage and facilitate strong, intellectual and confident persona of students, ITS organized “QUIZ-WHIZZ -An annual mega quizzing event” on 30 Oct 2011. This event is celebrated over a grand level attracting participants from large number of schools from NCR. This is organized every year to inculcate team spirit and talent among the students in their quest for triumph.

Level 1 of the competition started in July-2014,in which students of 11th and 12th standards of various schools competed enthusiastically .This level consisted of a hard copy quiz in which participants were asked to answer MCQs related to General English, sports , logical reasoning ,aptitude , general awareness and IT trends. Top 20 were awarded with souvenirs, certificates and cash prizes.

Next comes level 2, which was conducted today.

Inaugural Ceremony of this grand event took place in the presence of the honorable chief guest Mr. Justice R.B Mishra who has served as judge in various high courts and retd. as an acting Chief Justice of H.P high court and also Mr Neeraj Aggarwal , CEO of rural shores skills academy There was a lamp lighting ceremony to seek blessings of Maa Saraswati by the distinguished guests and Chairman Dr. R.P.Chaddha, ITS Education Group Administrator Mr. Sood, Secretary B.K. Arora, Director Dr. Vineet Kansal. It was followed by inspiring welcome address by Director Dr. Vineet Kansal , ITS Engineering College. He told three things to follow to improve the holding or memory power, First thing to devote 10 min. each morning to studying any subject of interest before going to the class, just like booting of computer, secondly give a break while tasking, a rest to mind , to revise on the points studied, third before sleeping read for atleast 20 minutes.

Chief Guests  Mr. Justice R.B Mishra  and also Mr Neeraj Aggarwal shared the words of wisdom and motivated the participants from various schools. They inspired all the students to follow the right path, work hard with diligence and keep perseverance and move ahead with patience and respect to their elders. Ultimately God is all pervading and the biggest mathematician.

The Chief Guests were presented by token mementoes by honorable Chairman Dr. R.P. Chaddha and Secretary Mr. B.K. Arora.

International Yoga Champion, Ms Aditi Nigam, Student of BPT Programme at ITS Muradnagar  presented a yoga performance a beautiful proof of mind and body, a perfect coordination balance of both during the inaugural Ceremony. Aditi Nigam has blossomed and showcased her talent along with winning many accolades not only in the country but around the world which include world yoga championship, national yoga championship and global yoga championship, thereby making the country and I. T. S family proud.

There was a short interval break followed by Level -2 Quiz whiz-2014, a magical part started here. Top 3 of each school came to represent their schools throne for the competition as a team. With Quiz Master Mr Ajay Poonia, the grand show started “The Inter School LIVE Quiz competition” at ITS Engineering college, Gr. Noida.The event started with more than 100 teams battling for reaching the top 18 who finally maneuvered their way to the semifinals.

In semifinals 12 teams lost their chance to contest in finale and only 6 teams stepped towards the grand finale for the final assault. These six teams combat in the final warfare of the live quiz to conquest.

The winners were : first place Somwerville School Gr. Noida, Second were DPS School Dadri and third were Kendriya Vidalya, Dadri (NTPC). Consolation Prizes went to Ryan International, Gr. Noida, Balwant Ray Mehta School, Delhi and Ahleen Public School, Delhi. Mr Manoj Tandon Ex Director of CSC, Noida. gave away the Prizes to all the winners.

The winners of the grandiose competition were awarded with certificates, trophies and cash prizes,1st prize- 21000/-, 2nd prize-15000/-,3rd prize-9000/- and 3 consolation prizes of 6000/-each. The Convener of the programme was Dr Rashmi Gupta, Professor, Applied Science and Humanities.
