IYC ORGANIZED A CANDLE LIGHT MARCH IN SUPPORT OF PILGRIMS WHO WERE ATTACKED DURING AMARNATH YATRA
Indian Youth Congress organized a Candle Light March in support of pilgrims who were attacked during Amarnath Yatra. Pilgrimage has been an integral part of Indian Culture and religious sentiments. Every caste, community and faith follows a certain pattern of pilgrimage and it is very essential that the Government provide them religious and cultural security. But unfortunately, the present government has failed to provide fundamental and rightful security to the citizens of India. It is a failure of not just Central Government but also of the State Government which is standing on just coalition, without any ideologies of its own.
The peaceful march started from Indian Youth Congress Office at Raisina Road and ended at Jantar Mantar. But this is not the end of our struggle in demanding our safety and security; it is just the beginning. Today’s Youth demands, Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh to please stop ‘just’ condemning these unethical acts and please take some action. We are tired of hearing your hollow words, its time that you act and return us our basic rights and needs. We also demand Home Minister’s resignation.
This Candle Light March was led by IYC Secretary Sitaram Lamba and , IYC National Media Incharcge Amrish Ranjan Pandey and all DPYC office bearers were present along with all youth members. We pray that family of all those suffered come out of their loss and also pray for quick recovery of those injured. Our heartfelt condolences with all killed in this miss happening.
