Jesus and Mary School Greater Noida celebrates republic day with carnival and cultural celebrations!

The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and gaiety in the Jesus and Mary school, Greater Noida. The celebrations commenced with the customary hosting of the national flag by father Mr Thomas T Roy, General secretary of Sommerville School Chain  followed by the National Anthem.

S.P Sharma President of Industrial Association, Dr Mary Thomas, Principal of Sommerville School , Greater Noida,  Aditya Ghildyal, Vice President of Industrial Association, Gajanan Mali Founder of Pari chowk.com are the special guest for the event. The guests were welcomed by presenting a bouquet as a token of gratitude.

The school organised a series of activities on the occasion like patriotic songs and cultural dances performed energetically by the students.

The highlight of the event was a skit “Underpinning the India Constitution” in which students showcased the history at the time of Nanda  Dynasty and showcased how administration used to work at that time and detailed about political purposes of Arthashastra of Chanakya, who is considered the pioneer of the field of political science and economics in India and then compared it with the modern constitution of India.

After that inauguration of the carnival was done by the chief by Ramesh Chandra Ratn after cutting the ribbon . The stalls were put up by students of all the classes conducting various interesting games. Special food stalls were also put up by every class that had varieties of cuisine from Indian street food to Chinese, continental to Mughlai. Thereafter Art and craft is exhibited by the students with the key objective to create more awareness of science, technology and engineering as well as glorifying the different culture and diversity of India on the eve of republic day.
Parents looked very happy seeing their children’s performing on dais.
