Greater Noida – February 22, 2016 – The prestigious Ajai Shankar Memorial Awards for the best designed and displayed stands were distributed in six product categories during IHGF-DELHI FAIR SPRING 2016 by Shri K. Gopal, Development Commissioner ( Handicrafts) on 22nd February, 2016. The fair is being held from 20 – 23 February, 2016 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. Shri S.P. Dadoo, President –IHGF-Delhi Fair (Spring) 2016, Shri Dinesh Kumar, Chairman-EPCH, Members of Committee of Administration, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman-IEML and ED-EPCH, press and media were also present during the award ceremony. The six product categories under which the awards were given included Home Furnishing & Home Textiles, Fashion Jewellery & Accessories, Lamps & Lighting products, Houseware, Decorative & Gifts, Furniture & Home Accessories and Christmas decoration, candles and incense sticks. In each categories two awards were given, one was to the winner and second to the runner up. The Ajai Shankar Memorial Awards were instituted in the memory of late Mr. Ajai Shankar, former Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) who was one of the major motivators for establishing this fair further elaborated Mr. Kumar. Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Displayed Stand in Home Textiles and Furnishing were given to M/s Ocean Exim India Pvt. Ltd, Jaipur and Artasia, Jaipur. From M/s Ocean Exim Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Bhuvnesh Gupta received the award as winner and from Artasia Ms. Vandana received the award as runner up.Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Displayed Stand in Fashion Jewellery & Accessories went to M/s Änuva”(Dileep Potteries Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur and M/s DEE Gee’s Creations, New Delhi. Ms. Anuva & Mr. Akshay jointly received award as winner from M/s Anuva as winner and from Dee Gee’s Creation, Mr. Deepak Gupta received the award as runner up. Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Display Stand in Lamps & Lighting products was given to Bella Designs(Universal Designs), Moradabad. Ms. Neetu Maheshwari received the award as sole winner. Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Displayed Stand in Houseware, Decorative & Gifts were given to M/s Parkland Exports, Moradabad and M/s East Wood International, Moradabad. Mr Sanjay Gupta from Parkland India received the award as winner. From M/s East Wood International Mr. Danish Khusrozaman received the award as runner up.Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Displayed Stand in Furniture & Home Accessories went to M/s Noble Art & Craft House, Jodhpur and M/s Intrading Pvt. Ltd, Noida. Mr. Autul Jain & others received the award from Noble Art & Craft House as winner and Ms. Kompal & Mr. Sanjay jointly from Intrading Pvt. Ltd. Received the award as runner up. Ajai Shankar Memorial Award for the Best Display Stand in Christmas decoration, Candles and Incense were given to M/s Artifacts India, Delhi and M/s Natural Products Export Corpn Ltd, Chennai. Mrs. Savina Sharan from Artifacts India received the award as winner and from M/s Natural Products Export Corpn Ltd, Mr. Aditya received the award as runner While distributing award Dr. K. Gopal, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) said that best presentation by the winners in front of International buying community added additional value to their products and other should also follow them to get award next time.
