Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Public meet organized under SVEEP to create awareness amongst voters

Noida, (13/3/2019): Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEEP, is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voting awareness and promoting voter literacy in India.



Today in Noida sector 19, Rajeev Tyagi, General Manager in Noida Authority and Nodal Officer for SVEEP, organized a program in collaboration with sector 19 RWA to aware the residents about voting and sharing information amongst them.

The residents put their questions and got clear about their doubts for the upcoming elections starting from 11 April. Since, elections in Gautam Budhh Nagar will be in the first phase which is to be started from 11 April, the administration have started their work of awaring the voters about their rights and also to inject knowledge regarding the protocols of voting.

“These types of program will be organized in all of the district, and preparations for the elections had also started, we will make sure that every person who is eligible to vote should come out and access the fundamental right given to him or her, under SVEEP, several programs will be organized in the district and also several campaigns are on their way to be started which will help in awareness amongst the people about voting”, Rajeev Tyagi, said.

Administration will put banners all across the city regarding the information about voting. Bus stops, Metro stations, Petrol Pump, Public Buildings, Public Toilets, Street Lights, Malls, Booths will be equipped with the banners to spread the awareness.

Adminstration will also organize campaigns with RWAs, in Parks, Public Functions, Colleges etc. Selfie and Run for Vote campaign will be organized. Campaigns to aware voters in Raahgiri through Nukkad Nataks.
