Mahashivratri Sangeet Sammelan held by Sargam Mandir

New Delhi: On the eve of Mahashivratri Sargam Mandir (A society dedicated to serve and promote Indian classical music). A 53th Mahashivratri sangeet sammelan held at Azad Bhavan Auditorium here in New Delhi on Friday 24th February 2017.

In a musical event where a number of programmes presented by famous “Pt.Harish Tiwari” who is a well known Hindustani classical vocalist. and “Padma Bhushan Pt. Mohan Bhatt” who is a Grammy winning Hindustani classical music instrumentalist who plays the Mohan Meena,where they showcased their classical talent to retain the attention of audience.

Pt.Harish Tiwari presented Jugal Nandi local who was accompanied by Pt. Ashis Sengupta-a famous Indian table player of bananas gharana and Dr. Vinay Mishra-a well known Harmonium player.

Another Jugal Bandi Veena ,which was presented by Padma Bhushan Pt.Vishwa Mohan Bhatt who was accompanied by famous Slight guitar Pt.Salil Bhat and tabla player Pt.Ram Kumar Mishra.

Ashok Srivastava while addressing the event said that the performance of the gurus are always interesting.

He said that such programmes should be encouraged and government should provide attention towards such events.

He added that India is land of miracles where everyone has love for the classical music.

Another famous well- known personalities who joined the sangeet Sammelan were president Pt.jagdeesh Mohan Vice President Dr.Pk Bhatnagar and well known persons of the classical music and music lovers attended the event.
