New Delhi: Demanding capital punishment for the Mandsaur rape accused, BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) members took out a candle march at India Gate on Saturday evening.

Holding banners against rape incidents, and chanting slogans against the both rape accused SAD leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra and BJP MP from West Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency Parvesh Singh led the candle march and demanded capital punishment to both the accused Imran Khan and Asif.

On Tuesday, an 8-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by Imran Khan and Asif from her school and not only raped by also brutally injected solid substance at her private party. Later they run away from the spot by slitting her throat.

The issue catches fire a day after the incident and political parties started criticizing BJP ruled government for poor law and order in the state.

While addressing media during the candle march, Akali Dal Leader, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “The court should give capital punishment to both the accused. The incident was brutal and shameful.”

Later, he also targeted his rival, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for his silence over the issue. “I’m surprised, why he is mum over this brutal incident. Why Rahul Gandhi did not condemn the incident, because the accused belong to a particular community and no body wants to speak against them?”
